1 Day Fraser Island 4WD Tour

  • For those with limited time, this tour provides the opportunity to see the natural beauty of Fraser Island's famous landmarks.

  • Travelling north from Brisbane we pass the Glass House Mountains, inland from the Sunshine Coast, passing the gold mining town of Gympie before arriving at Rainbow Beach. From Rainbow Beach we take the 4WD bus on to the beach to meet our ferry at Inskip Point, where a short ferry ride will take us to the southern tip of Fraser Island.

  • Driving along Seventy Five Mile Beach we pass Eurong Beach Resort on our way to explore some of Fraser Island's rainforests and Freshwater lakes.

  • Our first stop is Lake Birrabeen, one of Fraser Island's beautiful crystal clear lakes. Take a swim in its pristine waters or stroll on the white sandy beaches.

  • Our next stop is Central Station to visit Fraser Island's lush subtropical rainforests. We  take a fantastic 1 hour walk along the crystal clear flowing waters of Wanggoolba Creek and see the remnants of the now ceased logging industry for which Fraser Island was famous. 

  • Take in the Giant Satinay trees and learn more about the history of these magnificent towering trees.

  • Tour back through the sandy tracks lined by towering rainforest to the beach.

1 Day Moreton Island 4WD Adventure Trip

  • Our Moreton Island tour starts with a luxury cruise aboard MiCat across beautiful Moreton Bay to Moreton Island. On arrival we board our 4WD and drive of the ferry directly on to the beach. Moreton Island is the worlds third largest sand island of which 98% is a protected National Park, with no sealed roads, 4WD is the only mode of transport!

  •  Our first activity is to get straight into sand boarding and tobogganing. This has to be done as early as possible in the day as summer temperatures get up to 36deg. This is awesome fun, high speed, high adrenalin! Moreton Bay Escapes provide both lie down toboggans as well as stand up boards.  

  • Next stop we cross the island to the Open Beach. We travel through thick eucalypt forest, featuring beautiful Xanthorrhoea (Grass Trees) up to 250 years old. The open beach is 38km long of uninterrupted surf beach.  

  • Boogy Boarding and body surfing is next! We are off to North Point and Honeymoon Bay’s secluded beach with great safe surf beaches. After a picnic lunch we are off to Cape Moreton Lighthouse and Information centre. This imposing rock Headland is 80m above sea level and gives us commanding views across all of Moreton Island and the beautiful Glass House Mountains. Look out to sea and spot Dolphins, Turtles and Whales (June To October). Moreton Island is home to hundreds of different birds, featuring White Bellied Sea Eagles, Pied Oyster Catchers, Pelicans and thousands of wadding birds.  

  • Our last stop is Blue Lagoon, one of Moreton Island’s beautiful fresh water lakes. Take a dip and soak up the naturally occurring tea tree oils (the fountain of youth) Once rejuvenated to return to MiCat for our beautiful cruise home. What a day!

2 Day Moreton Island Camping Tour

  • Your Moreton Island Tour is two awesome days of discovering all of Moreton Islands, hidden wonders, beauty and activities. After arriving on the first morning on the island we drop our gear off at our bush safari camp.

  • Your guide will take you touring the island in our 4WD, seeing both amazing forests and pristine beaches. Each trip's itinerary is different depending on local conditions and tides.

  • You will see, Cape Moreton Light House (a great spot for wildlife viewing), Blue Lagoon (fresh water lake infused with tea tree oils), 40km of uninterrupted surf beach, The Dessert and Big sand hills for sand tobogganing and great views, Five Hills Look out (panoramic views back to Australia and the Glass House Mountains.

  • During these two days your guide will take you on short bush walks, explaining the island flora and fauna, we will also take you on a guided snorkel around fifteen amazing ship wrecks which are teeming with fish life, and of course, sand tobogganing and boarding, just like the ALPS, with board shorts and NO Ski Lift!

2 Day One Night Fraser Island tour

Day 1


Travelling north from Brisbane we pass the Glass House Mountains and Sunshine Coast before arriving at Rainbow Beach. From Rainbow Beach we take the 4WD on to the beach to meet our ferry at Inskip Point, where a short Ferry ride will take us to the southern tip of Fraser Island. We head for Seventy Five Mile Beach and find ourselves a nice spot to enjoy a fresh picnic lunch. Travelling north up the eastern beach of Fraser Island we head for Eli Creek. Eli Creek is a fast flowing fresh water stream. Take the beautiful board walk to the top of the creek and let yourself relax and float down this picturesque stream. Our next stop is Lake Wabby. We park our 4WD at the start of the 20 min walking track, which takes us through lush coastal heath and thick eucalypt forest. This takes us to the deepest lake on Fraser Island, the famous Lake Wabby. The return walk goes through the Hammerstone Sandblow. At the end of the day we travel to Eurong Beach Resort to check into our accommodation and enjoy a Buffet Dinner in the Resort Restaurant.


Day 2


With an early start for a continental breakfast at 7.00am, we check out and get out on tour by 8.00am. We head to Central Station today to visit Fraser island's lush subtropical rainforests. We take a fantastic 1 hour walk along the clear flowing waters of Wanggoolba Creek and learn about Fraser Island's Timber History. Next we are off to Lake Birrabeen, one of Fraser Island's beautiful crystal clear lakes. We have plenty of time here to swim, relax, sunbathe and enjoy a picnic lunch. After lunch we head through the forest roads back to the Southern end of Fraser Island. Mid afternoon we depart Rainbow Beach back to Brisbane, with the tour finishing around 6.00pm. Tour includes: 2 x picnic lunch, 1 x buffet dinner, 1 x continental breakfast, all activities and all entry fees.

Mount Tamborine 1 day tour

  • Tamborine Mountain’s magnificent valleys, distant mountain ranges and tropical rainforests provide a peace and tranquility that is a complete contrast to the every day noise and demands on our time.

  • The day starts with a scenic drive to Mount Tamborine MacDonald National Park. Enjoy morning tea in peaceful surroundings.

  • Our first walk of the day is the 1.4km (approx 40 min) MacDonald rainforest circuit. This mostly flat walk takes in Giant Strangler Figs, Hoop Pine, Giant Buttress trees, and an idyllic creek crossing, and is ideal for birdwatchers.

  • Next we take a 2.6km (approx 1 hour) Sandy Creek and Cameron Falls circuit walk. Scenic views, piccabeen palm groves, rainforest with tall trees emerging above the surrounding canopy, and Cameron Falls Lookout all feature on this walk.

  • A fresh and delicious picnic lunch is prepared by your tour guide in the middle of a beautiful setting at Knoll National park.

  • Following lunch, we journey to Joalah National Park. Joalah is an Aboriginal word meaning “haunt of the lyrebird”. The loud calls of the male Albert’s lyrebird can be heard during winter. Walk through rainforest and descend steep stairs to a large pool at the base of Curtis Falls. There is an impressive view of the falls and surrounding columnar basalt rock face (1.5km approx 30 min). 

  • Our last activity today is to visit the Mount Tamborine Rainforest Skywalk. In a setting of 30 private acres of magnificent rainforest alongside a kilometer of tumbling creek and rockpools, this walkway is a stable, high-tech steel structure enabling visitors to explore the beautiful middle and upper canopies of the rainforest. It descends gradually to the lower canopy to rock pools and waterfalls, and a butterfly lookout.

  • The Cantilever is a 40 metre long span soaring 30 metres above the valley, with spectacular views over the creek and the rainforest canopies below.

  • This brings us to the end of our day and reluctantly we take you back to your accommodation.

  • Discover the World Heritage Rainforest of Springbrook National Park through the eyes of a highly trained professional. Your guide will provide you with insights into characteristics of these Central Eastern Rainforest Reserves

  • Today we start our program by visiting the spectacular Natural Arch. This amazing natural formation is a waterfall and cave all in one, courtesy of mother nature.

  • Next we are off to Springbrook National Park. With waterfalls cascading overhead, marvel at the wonders of the rainforest while walking the Twin Falls Circuit. Our guided walk through sub-tropical and temperate rainforests takes you a little further, to the view points that most visitors miss out on.

  • Our fresh and delicious lunch is made even better with a chance to stand overlooking the region's largest waterfall - Purlingbrook Falls

  • Following lunch, journey into the rainforest to see ancient, endangered, 2000 year old Antartic Beech trees. Then stand on the edge of the extinct Tweed Shield Volcano. How has this giant shaped the local area?

  • Keep a lookout for native wildlife such as Wallabys and Rainforest Birds. If you are lucky, there are a number of rare wildlife that can be spotted from the tracks.

  • Next, the "Best Of All Lookout", which is just as good as its name suggests! Here we have sweeping views from Byron Bay to Tweed Heads.

  • Our last activity today is to visit the grotto. This is the home to one of the rainforest's most intriguing creatures, GLOW WORMS. In the pitch black darkness of the grotto, 10 000 glow worms light up the ceiling like stars in the night. This brings us to the end of the day and your guide will now take you back to your accommodation. A full day of stunning views, mountains of information and hearty food.

The best way to discover and explore the World Heritage Springbrook National Park and Mount Tamborine, is our two day one night Jungle Camp!


Day 1


  • The day starts with a scenic drive to Mount Tamborine MacDonald National Park. Enjoy morning tea in peaceful surroundings.

  • Spend one night in our our private bush camp at Beechmont.. What Creatures venture out at night? With torch in hand see the nocturnal wildlife not seen during the day! The essence of a good camp is the campfire! Sit around our evening fire and exchange stories with guests and guide. Wake up to the song and beautiful sounds of rainforest birds. Enjoy our warming morning breakfast.... made even better with the morning smells of the rainforest.


Day 2


  • Day two we take a scenic drive to Springbrook National park. Our first stop for the day is Natural Arch, a short walk to the geolgical formation of Natural Arch and the cave behind the falls.

  • Next we head further up the plateau to the Canyon Lookout, with great views over the coast. From this point a 4km circuit takes us under Twin Falls and Blackfellow Falls. Your guide will provide some interesting insights into the rainforest and the wildlife you encounter.

  • After lunch at Purlingbrook Falls, we head up to the Best-of-all Lookouts. Here stands 2000 yr old Antarctic Beech trees and we stand on the edge of the Tweed Shield Volcano. An awesome sight!

  • To finish up our days activities we head to the GROTTO! In the darkness that the GROTTO holds within, a unique phenomenon takes place. Bioluminescence! What is it.... and why do the worms glow?

  • Two days and one night packed with mystery and insight to the World Heritage - Central Eastern Rainforest Reserves.
